Hello, we are back again!

Did you miss me? No? Oh alright then, on to what you are all here for the BEHIND THE SCENES post. Last time we had lovely Luca participate but this week, we have the amazing Lacey Oakfield who is the scroll writer for Valyrian Rumours if you didn’t know. I hope you enjoy the interview below because I know I did!

Sophia:

So can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Lacey:

Currently, I'm 20 years old and I'm a uni dropout, though I intend to go back to uni this September! I don't really lead an interesting life, to be honest.

Sophia:

I’m sure your life is way more interesting than you think. So what are your hobbies?

Lacey:

Definitely reading, watching movies and tv series, and sometimes I write a little story myself. I recently rediscovered the Sims, so I've been playing that a lot. Another few of my favorite things to do are online shopping (though very bad for my wallet) and HTML coding. I've been teaching myself ever since I started on WoP and I usually really enjoy it, unless a code is just being a real witch. I'm not very patient :p

Sophia:

I suck at coding so I’m very impressed! What’s your favourite colour and why?

Lacey:

Oooh that's difficult.... I love anything pastel but lately I've been into deep purple. It just seems like a calming color and it's so pretty!

Sophia:

Purple has been my favourite for a long time, so many pretty colours out there though. What’s your favourite type of cake and why?

Lacey:

Can I say apple pie? I'm gonna say apple pie. I just really love apple pie, though a good cherry pie is definitely welcome too.

Sophia:

Now I am craving pie… What’s your favourite book and why?

Lacey:

(Why do you hurt me like this?) If I absolutely have to choose, I have to go with the Harry Potter series. They're my absolute favorite books ever, though I read the A Court of Thorns and Roses-series by Sarah J Maas a while ago and they're also very very good. I just love the combination of myths and folk tales, but also excitement, tension and disturbing things. All in all, it makes an amazing story. I won't spoil too much, but just give it a try if you enjoy fantasy books!

Sophia:

I might have a look at those, I do love a good book! So juicy details why did you choose your job here?

Lacey:

I was a journalist for the longest time on a WoP site and for a while on another WoP site too. I guess I'd wanted to make up a paper from scratch and run it myself! I love writing silly stories and this is a great way to give them a platform, but it's also a wonderful way to offer a platform to anyone wishing to write stories themselves, as long as it fits the GoT universe. It's a great way to practice your writing or maybe your English, if you're not a native speaker!

Sophia:

Oh I love that! Lastly, anything important you want to say?

Lacey:

At the risk of sounding super cliche, follow your dreams. Do the things you enjoy and don't let anyone put you down for it. If you'd rather spend your evening writing stories or HTML coding or reading a book instead of going out, that's great! If you'd rather go out and hang with friends, that's great too! Just have fun, life's short enough as it is.

Sophia:

Words I think everyone should play close attention to!
