Hello hello World of Thrones,
this is River here, and welcome to the first installment of ! This is going to be a once a month series on just little bits of advice from recipes to fashion tips. Today though, we’re going to cover a few simple tips to cheer yourself up and stay happy.
Do go to bed mad. I know, I know, your mom always told you to never go to sleep mad. Well I’m afraid she’s wrong. Studies have shown that ranting and raving and letting all your anger out on simple matters tends to only increase those feelings, while just going to bed tends to allow them the cease. So do go to bed mad, you’ll wake up happier for it.
Faking it doesn’t always make it fake. Your feelings tend to follow your actions. So if you’re feeling a bit blue, act happier. Even if you have to force it. Odds are, you’ll be feeling genuinely happy by the end of the day.
Buy yourself some happiness. Yes, you heard me correctly. Let’s not get crazy though, money doesn’t just fill a void automatically, so don’t be going on an expensive shopping spree and getting a bunch of things you don’t need. I mean spending money on things that genuinely make you happy: your family, a significant other, etc. Take your kids out for an ice cream to spend quality time, or treat your mom to dinner. These types of things will genuinely make you happier.
Find something to be grateful for. I know some days it may feel like you have nothing going for you and the world is out to get you, but you’re wrong. There is always at least one thing you can be grateful for. Even if that one thing is that your dog pooped outside that morning. When you remember that you do have things to be grateful for, you’ll be happier about life.
Live for the now. You can’t change the past, and you have zero control of the future. We get so caught up in making plans and then getting disappointed when they don’t turn out the way we hoped, that it just ruins our happiness. Live in the moment more, take life one day at a time.
And that’s all the Royal Advice I have for you today. I hope they help you out on the days that you might be feeling a bit on the bluer side of things. Stay happy. Stay colorful my loves.
