Hello ladies and gents!
It’s that time again... . It’s River here to give you that life changing advice that you’ve been so eagerly waiting for once again. This month (which just so happens to be my birth month), I’m going to dive into some basic fashion rules for men and women. And if you are to attend my birthday party, I expect you to be looking your best. *coughs at the handsome single men*
Anyways, we’re going to start with the ladies, though a lot of these rules are unisex:
Dress like you’re going to run into an ex. This doesn’t mean you have to dress in an evening gown every time you go out, but wear a nice clean shirt and some good jeans. That’ll get you far.
If the clothes feel uncomfortable, you probably look uncomfortable. And let’s just be honest, uncomfortable = unattractive.
If there’s any doubt, overdress. Overdressing is much better than underdressing. When you underdress you risk the chance of looking like a slob.
The easiest way to update a wardrobe is through new accessories. A statement purse or necklace can go a long way in sprucing up an outfit.
Now, moving onto the guys. Pay close attention boys because I’m watching you:
Care. If you don’t care, you’re never going to look good. Attitude is everything when it comes to fashion.
If it’s a formal event, match your belt with your shoes. Not doing so results in looking uncoordinated, and you don’t want that.
Make sure you understand what a good fit is. This is the most important aspect of clothing. It has to fit you to look nice.
Buy the best quality you can afford. Good quality means long lasting. And that’s good for you in the long run. Plus, good quality clothing tends to look a bit better than poor quality clothing.
Well guys, that’s all the fashion tips I have for you today. I expect you to all be looking your best the next time I see you. Especially if that next time is at my birthday party. In the meantime, stay colorful my friends!
