Hello citizens of the Seven Kingdoms!
What do the article of last time and this week’s have in common? It may not be easy to guess, especially since I didn’t tell you what this week’s blog post will be about. Just let me tell you that the main focus of both other universes can also be found in ours. Walkers, white walkers… different but still the same idea - living dead. And what else played a huge role in the history of Westeros? Yes, dragons. This week you will be introduced into the World of Alagaësia, a place where everyone who admires the dragonriders from ‘Eragon’, also known as ‘The Inheritance Circle’ finds a place to learn and live and maybe fly on a dragon themselves one day.
On my travel through Alagaësia (yes, I have totally been there, it is not like I have to be stuck in one universe and magic is a thing, you know, totally cannon), I have spoken to many people, elves, dwarves and even the rare species of humans (weird things they are…), explored places I should maybe have stayed away from and found a new addiction - and no, not a dragon addiction, but more to that later. I was even offered to join one of the armies Ellesméra, Carvahall, Varden and the Empire and fight alongside their heads and support them to gain the most power in the kingdom.
Just like here, these army points can only be gained if you educate yourself. Only a person who is able to fight, shine with their knowledge or who has any other talent can outshine themselves after all and climb up the ladder of success. And with for example Languages of Alagaesia, Politics, Magic or even Battle Strategy as possible classes, you can really pick whatever you like best!
But to come back to my new addiction. After I had observed the classes in the Rider’s Stronghold I made my way all through Eastern, Central and Western Alagaësia to explore all the different shops and maybe alcoholic beverages and I found something I had never seen in this way before! Whittled animals! I have fallen in love immediately and bought a few. I should maybe go back and get some more.
While being in awe with all the beautiful things the shop had to offer, I also overheard a conversation between the vendor and another man, speaking about the King himself, Tharrack Warstone and the lovely First Chancellor, Exina Vang. And from what I have heard, my first information has been confirmed, because of them are not only lovely, but managed to put a team together that will not only guarantee awesome education and entertainment for the citizen of the kingdom, but is also more than welcoming. And maybe if you ask nicely, you can get a whittled animal as well? I mean, just look at them!
You should definitely pay a visit at this wonderful place and learn everything you need to become a successful dragonrider. Who would not want to see the world from the back of one of those majestic creatures?
