Hello folks! It’s that time again!
I’m here with your month’s , and right on time too. It’s getting awfully close to Valentine’s Day, and if you’re like me, you’re struggling on what to get (in my case, for myself #foreversingle). Have no fear because I’ve got you covered.
It’s really hard to decide what’s appropriate to get your significant other. Maybe you’ve only been on a few dates, or maybe you’ve been dating for years. Either way, the struggle is real. I’ve done my research, and I’ve discovered some easy and appropriate gift ideas for that special someone in your life. You are so welcome.
The “We’ve only been on a few dates” Crew: To me, this is the hardest to buy a gift for. You’re still getting to know one another and the relationship is brand new. Therefore, your gift needs to be easy and light, but it needs to be thoughtful at the same time. Maybe unique socks or a tie for a man. A nice candle or a monogrammed coffee mug for a girl.
The “Dating for a few months” Crew: Surely by now you know your significant other well enough to know what they enjoy and don’t. So you need to raise the bar a bit. Maybe concert tickets or fitness package if they like to work out.
The “Dating for over a year and in love” Crew: At this stage, you’re allowed to be indulgent. You need to get something that comes with a little bit of gravity attached to it. Maybe an expensive handbag or a modest piece of jewelry for her. A nice camera or antique vinyl for him.
Speaking from my (Jorvan's) point of view, there are things besides little presents, which you can not directly buy, but would be the perfect present for people like me. Your partner or crush loves food? Then why not cooking those damn amazing burritos they love so much
I am totally not having cravings together with them? It's cold outside and they had to be at uni or work a long day? Maybe they would love a PJ evening with movies and them burritos and whatever comes afterwards. Or if you rather want to go out, take them to that damn good mexican bar that also sells enchiladas restaurant they love. But don't forget to show them your love beyond only this one day.
Flowers and chocolate are good at all stages, but it’s so cliché (though I’ll take chocolate at anytime gratefully). But that’s all I have for you. I hope this month’s Royal Advice has helped you out a bit, maybe it’ll even win you some brownie points. I’ll cross my fingers for you. Good luck my dears, and have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
